DHAKA, Sept 27, 2020 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Attorney General Mahbubey Alam.
In a condolence message, Anisul Huq prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, an official release said.
“I knew him for around 40 years and we took part in many cases, including Bangabandhu Murder Trial, together. He would live forever in the memories of the people of the country for his contribution in the judiciary and his death has left a huge void in the legal arena,” the law minister said.
The attorney general breathed his last at 7.25pm at Dhaka’s Combined Military Hospital. He was suffering from coronavirus.
