Cabinet members mourn death of fisheries minister’s mother

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2020 (BSS) – Condolences poured in for Majeda Begum, mother of Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, who died at a hospital in Khulna last night.

In separate condolence messages, Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin, Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque, State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russell, State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali and State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid and expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Majeda Begum.

They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Besides, Secretary of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Rownak Mahmud has also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Majeda Begum.

Mazeda Begum died of old-age complications at a hospital in Khulna last night at the age of 82.

She is survived by five sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers.

She was buried at her family graveyard in Tarabunia Village at Matibhanga Union of Nazirpur Upazila in Pirojpur District after her janaza prayer at Tarabunia Eidgah Ground this morning.
