CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Sept 21, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with three pistols, a revolver and three magazines from Muslimpur area under Shibganj upazila of the district last night.
The arrested was identified as Md. Mithun Ali alias Yasin, 30, of Nandalalpur Khamarpara under Chowdala union of Gomostapur upazila in the district.
RAB said, acting on a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided a mango orchard at Muslimpur village under Shahbajpur union of Shibganj upazila in the district around 7 pm and arrested Mithun Ali with the firearms and ammunitions.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj Thana, RAB added.
A case was recorded with the police station in this connection.
