BGB deployed for smooth completion of Shafi’s Janaza in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 19, 2020 (BSS) – A number of 10 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in four Upazilas of the district including Hathazari to ensure smooth completion of the namaj-e-janaza of Hefajat-e Islam Amir Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi.

“10 platoons of BGB have been deployed across Chattogram district so that the namaj-e-janaza of Hefajat-e Islam Amir Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi can be arranged smoothly,” Additional District Magistrate of Chattogram Dr Badiul Alam said.

The namaj-e-janaza of Ahmad Shafi will be held after Zohr prayers today at Darul Ulum Muinul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari of Chattogram.

Later, he will be laid to eternal rest in front of mosque inside the Madrasa campus.

Hathazari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ruhul Amin said BGB personnel would continue patrolling all day today.

In the evening, considering the overall situation, a decision will be taken on whether BGB deployment will continue or the paramilitary force will be withdrawn.
