Pranab Mukherjee’s condition remains “unchanged”: Doctors

NEW DELHI, Aug 14, 2020 (BSS) –The condition of India’s former President and veteran politician Pranab Mukherjee has remained “unchanged” today as all of “his vital parameters are stable”.

“The condition of Hon’ble Shri Pranab Mukherjee remains unchanged this morning. He is under intensive care and continues to be on ventilator support,” said Army Research and Referral Hospital in its daily bulletin today.

It also said, “His (Pranab Mukherjee) vital parameters are presently stable”.

Meanwhile, Abhijit Mukherjee, son of Pranab Mukherjee said that 96 hour observation period of his father in the hospital ends today.

“My father’s vital parameters continues to remain stable & he is responding to external stimuli & treatment”, he tweeted today.

Abhijit requested all to pray for his father’s speedy recovery. “I got much more from people of India than could give back,” he quoted his father as saying.

The 84-year-old former president was admitted to the Army’s Research and Referral Hospital on August 10 and underwent a surgery for removal of a clot in his brain. He was also tested positive for Covid-19.
