KHULNA, Aug 13, 2020 (BSS) – Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque has distributed foodstuffs among 421 distressed and jobless workers here to mitigate their sufferings rendered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
City mayor distributed foodstuffs including rice, pulses, salt, potatoes, soaps among 421 jobless workers at ward no -25 in the city as part of the government’s instant humanitarian support programme.

KCC,s 25-no ward councillor Ali Akbor Tipu, ward Awami League president and general secretary Md Ayub Ali and Sardar Abdul Halim, among others, were present during the distribution of food items.
While distributing the food items, the city mayor said that the common people of the country will must get food during coronavirus outbreak.
“Everyone should follow the government’s instructions to get rid of Corona,” he said, adding that “the government is continuing to distribute relief items among the helpless, destitute and extremely poor people”.
