500 orphans get meat in Gangachara

RANGPUR, Aug 9, 2020 (BSS) – Qatar Charity, an international charity organization, distributed one tonne meat among 500 orphan children of Gangachara upazila here on the occasion of the recently celebrated Eid-ul-Azha festivity on Saturday.

The organization distributed the meat in an informal function arranged at local Khubaib Bin Adi (R) Orphanage High School ground in remote Kochua village of Nohali union in the upazila strictly maintaining physical distance and health directives.

Vice-chairman of Gangachara upazila parishad Shaju Ahmed Lal distributed two kilograms of meat among each of the 500 orphan children as the chief guest in the function arranged with assistance of the upazila administration.

Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Gangachara Model Police Station Nur Alam Siddique, Superintendent of Khubaib Bin Adi (R) Orphanage High School and local representative of Qatar Charity Hafeez Mohammad Haider Ali and its Dhaka representative Abu Sayeed Mehedi Hasan were present.

After receiving the meat, the orphan children expressed happiness and thanked the Qatar Charity for providing them meat, especially during the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation.
