DHAKA, Aug 5, 2020 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today called upon the new generation to follow the honesty, simplicity, humility, deep love for people and political qualities of heroic freedom fighter Shaheed Sheikh Kamal to build ‘Sonar Bangla’ (Golden Bengal) the dream of Bangabandhu under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“Every member of the Bangabandhu family, including the multi-talented Shaheed Sheikh Kamal, has set a unique example of sacrifice in politics by rising above greed. Such sacrifices are rare in the political history of the subcontinent,” he said while speaking at a discussion marking the 71st birth anniversary of the pioneer of modern sports and cultural movement of Bangladesh Shaheed Sheikh Kamal, said

Narsingdi District Administration organised the discussion.
Deputy Commissioner of the district Syeda Farhana Kawnain presided over the discussion while Narsingdi Zilla Parishad Chairman Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, among others, joined the discussion.
Humayun said as well as inspiring the students and youth to build resistance against exploitation and deprivation before independence, Sheikh Kamal has played an important role as a behind-the-scenes hero in the reconstruction of post-independence war-torn Bangladesh.
“Shaheed Sheikh Kamal has made a tremendous contribution to the development of Bengali culture, modernization of sports and multi-dimensional development of the youth,” he added.
