DHAKA, July 12, 2020 (BSS) – Police claimed to have arrested a presumed active member of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) from city’s Mohammadpur area on Friday night. The Anti-Terrorism Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested the ABT member identifying him as Muhammad Wali Ullah conducting a special drive in Dhaka Uddyan housing area of Mohammadpur police station at 10.05 pm on Friday, said a DMP media release today.
Police also recovered a mobile phone and a SIM card from his possession.
A case has been filed against him with Mohammadpur police station, the release added.
