DHAKA, July 9, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of renowned poet, freedom fighter, children’s writer and former director general of Public Library Department Alam Talukder.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
He passed away yesterday while undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) at the age of 64.
Alam left behind wife, a son, two daughters as well as a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
