BANDARBAN, July 8, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 9,278 poor families, affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, in the district today got rice as food assistance from Prime Minister’s fund.
Bandarban deputy commissioner organized the rice distribution programme for the 6th time, Mayor of Bandarban Municipality and Bandarban Zila Awami League (AL) General Secretary Islam Baby told BSS.
He said, “As per the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we are providing food assistance to each and every poor family with the help of ward councilors”.
Today, a total of 9,278 families from nine wards received rice.
