DHAKA, June 28, 2020 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Khulna division with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places over the country today.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a met office release here. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalyan West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 35.8 degrees Celsius at Jashore and the minimum temperature today 23.5 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 121 millimeters (mm) at Sandwip.
The sun sets at 06.50 pm today and rises at 05.15 am tomorrow in the capital.
