PABNA, June 23, 2018 (BSS) – Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon
today said the country’s image will be closer to the developed countries if
the present government stays in power in next five years.

“The progress of this government cannot be stopped…because the
government is increasing its services in agriculture, information technology
and social safety net,” the minister said while addressing the inaugural
function of Pabna Sadar upazila’s Community Health and Heart Hospital here in
the morning.

Focusing the government success in food production and power generation,
Menon said the incumbent government should be in power for another five
years.

He said the government is giving importance on the health sector while it
has built many hospitals in the country’s remote areas to reach healthcare
services at the doorsteps of marginal people.

The Social Welfare Minister asked all to work together so that none can
hinder the progress of the government.

Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of the district, and
local Awami League leaders also spoke on the occasion.
