DHAKA, June 05, 2020(BSS) – Leaders of the 14-party alliance sought early recovery of Awami League (AL) Presidium Member and 14- party alliance spokesperson Nasim.
The leaders expressed their optimism of Mohammed Nasim’s health recovery in a joint statement, received here today.
The statement was signed by several leaders, including Workers Party of Bangladesh President Comrade Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasod) President Hasanul Haq Inu, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam, Ganatantri Party General Secretary Dr Shahadat Hossain, Tariqat Federation Chairman Syed Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari and National Awami Party (NAP) acting general secretary Ismail Hossain.
After falling prey to coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, Nasim has recently been admitted to a private hospital in city’s Shyamoli.
He had a brain stroke this morning while undergoing treatment at the hospital and a successful operation on him was conducted later on.
The 14-party leaders also requested the countrymen to pray for him.
