Jashore board sees 87.31pc pass in SSC exams

KHULNA, May 31, 2020 (BSS) – Jashore Education Board (JEB) has attained 87.31 percent pass in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations this year.

A total of 13,764 students, including 6,808 girls got GPA-5 in the board this year.

The board authority has published the results through online today amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a message sent to the press, Controller of Examinations Prof. MadhabChandra Rudra said a total of 160,635 students, including 80,326 girls, appeared in the SSC examinations at 286 centres in all ten districts under the board this year.

Of them, 1, 40,243 have succeeded. Like the previous year, the result sheet shows the girl students remain advanced in terms of pass percentage this year.

Pass percentage of girls is 88.79 while the boys 85.82.

The number of 100 percent passed schools is 250 under the board.

Among the ten districts, Satkhira clinched the top position with 94.03
pass percentage.
