Rajshahi Education Board attains 90.37 pc successes in SSC

RAJSHAHI, May 31, 2020 (BSS) -Rajshahi Education Board (REB) has attained
90.37 percent pass in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in
2020 against last year’s 91.64 pass percentage.

A total of 26,167 students including 13,621 girls got GPA-5 in the board
this year. The board authority has published the result through the online
today amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a message sent to the press, Controller of Examinations Prof Ariful Islam
said a total of 2,00,185 students including 96,042 girls appeared in the SSC
examinations in 260 centres in all eight districts under the board this year.

Of them, 1,80,902 have succeeded. Like the previous year, the result sheet
shows the girl students remain advanced in terms of pass percentage this year.
Pass percentage of girls is 91.45 while the boys 89.37.

The number of 100 percent passed schools is 308 under the board.

Among the eight districts, Joypurhat clinched the top position with 95.97
pass percentage followed by Chapainawabgonj 92.33 pc, Bogura 92.27 pc, Natore
90.42 pc, Naogaon 89.94 pc, Pabna 89.56, Sirajgonj 89.38 pc and Rajshahi 87.80
pc.
