KHULNA, May 30, 2020 (BSS) – A youth was killed and two others were injured
morning in a road mishap at Jabusha area under Rupsha upazila in the district
this morning.
The deceased was identified as Robiul Sheikh, 33, son of Mokbul Sheikh of
Baotas village under Ashashuni upazila in Satkhira. Mokbul was an employee of
NGO BRAC at Charvanga branch in Shariatpur, said police.
The accident took place around 11am today when a truck crashed a rickshaw
on Khulna-Bagerhat highway, said Md Robiul Islam, officer-in-charge of Khulna
Highway Police.
Robiul was going to his office along with two others in a rickshaw after
the Eid vacation, the OC said.
The two injured persons were admitted to Khulna Medical college Hospital
(KMCH).
Police seized the truck and filed a case with Rupsha police station in this
connection.
