Light to moderate rain likely

DHAKA, June 22, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological department (BMD)
predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary
gusty wind and lightning flashes at many places over the country in next 24
hours as of 9 am tomorrow.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at many places over Chattogram
and Sylhet divisions,” said a met office press release issued here this
morning.

It also may occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Barishal
divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna and Rajshahi divisions
with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, the release
added.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country’s highest temperature was recorded on Thursday by 36.8 degrees
Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature today was recorded by 24.2
degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

Highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded by 121
millimeters (mm) at Dimla.

Today’s sunset in the capital will be at 6.49 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise
will be at 5.12am.
