BDRCS provides cooked food among 3,000 doctors, nurses, medical staffs

DHAKA, May 26, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) has
provided cooked food among 3,000 doctors, nurses and medical staffs of 15
dedicated Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) hospitals marking the Holy Eid-ul-
Fitr.

According to a press release, the BDRCS in support with the HSBC Bank
provided cooked food among some 3,000 doctors, nurses, medical staffs as well
as other designated staffs of the Directorate General of Health Services and
IEDCR who were on duty during the Eid Day.

Besides, under the same arrangement, special food was supplied to the on
duty doctors, nurses and medical staffs of the Gazipur General Hospital.

The release said the authorities of the society have already announced to
provide food assistance to some 1 lakh Poor and helpless people who are
affected due to the COVID-19.

It said supply of cooked food is a mere gift from them to these frontline
COVID-19 fighters which would motivate them further to render their services.

The Jubo Red Crescent volunteers alongside the other officials and
employees of the society reached this cooked food packets to these soldiers
of humanity (doctors, nurses, medical staffs).

BDRCS Deputy Secretary General M Rafiqul Islam, Society’s Disaster Response
Department Director M Mizanur Rahman and other high officials and employees
of the society were present during the distribution of this cooked food.
