DHAKA, Aug 21, 2017 (BSS) – The national moon sighting committee meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office at 7.15pm on August 23 (Wednesday) to fix the date of holy Eid-ul-Azha and review reports of moon sighting of Jilhajj of 1438 Hiji.
Religious Affairs Minister and National Moon Sighting Committee Chairman Principal Matiur Rahman will preside over the meeting, a press release said.
People have been requested to inform the committee over the following phone and fax numbers if they see the Jilhajj moon anywhere in Bangladesh sky. The phone numbers are 9559493, 9559643, 9555947, 9556407 and 9558337, while the fax numbers are 9563397 and 9555951.
