4 more test positive for COVID-19 in Shariatpur
SHARIATPUR, May 05, 2020 (BSS) – Four new persons including a housemaid of Goshairhat Upazila Health Complex were tested positive for COVID-19 In the last 24 hours in the district.
As a result, the total number of coronavirus positive cases in the district rose to 39, health department sources said here today.
Of the 39 patients, two died.
Among the coronavirus patients, the district health department is providing treatment to two at Shariatpur Sadar Hospital in isolation while another 35 are in intensive isolation in their own homes.
The Goshairhat Upazila Health Complex was announced lockdown after its one of the workers was found infected with the lethal virus, said Shariatpur Civil Surgeon’s Office Corona Control Room Coordinator Dr Abdur Rashid.
