DHAKA, April 7, 2020 (BSS)-As per the government’s direction, the Ministry of Agriculture has taken several initiatives to help continue production and marketing of agricultural products amid the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The initiatives include cultivating vegetables, fruits and other crops on fallen land on the premises of the households during the government holidays, according to the press release received here today.
The movement of vehicles carrying agro-products and concerned farmers to the ‘Farmer’s Market’ in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area will continue every Friday and Saturday, the release added.
The concerned ministry also directed all offices or departments under it to implement the initiatives.
