KHULNA, April 5, 2020 (BSS) – Khulna City Corporation (KCC) distributed
3,86,030 soaps among 77,206 poor families in the city on Saturday to prevent
spreading of COVID-19 to the community level.
KCC Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque attended the programme as chief guest
and distributed soaps among the poor people under a project titled
‘Development of Marginalized People’ to prevent corona virus infection at
Nagor Bhaban.
General Secretary of City Awami League Md Babul Rana and Manager of the
project Mohammad Mostafa, among others, were present on the occasion.
City Mayor laid emphasis on taking coordinated efforts to contain the
spread of COVID-19 as the whole world is now battling against the deadly
diseases coronavirus pandemic to protect the mankind.
As part of the precautionary measures, he also advised the people to
follow social distance alongside maintaining individual hygienic habits to
contain the spread of the coronavirus.
