KHULNA, April 5, 2020(BSS) – Khulna district administration distributed
foodstuff among 200 fishermen families to mitigate their financial hardships
caused by coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Deputy Commissioner Md Helal Hossain distributed rice, pulse, oil,
potatoes, salt, soap and salt among the fishermen in different areas of
Rupsha River bank here on yesterday afternoon.
Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah and Additional Deputy
Commissioner (General) Ziaur Rahman were present, among others.
DC Helal Hossain urged all the people to stay home and to follow social
distancing to curb the community level virus spread.
Around 300 volunteers led by Deputy Commissioner have been working to
provide the necessary food items in their doorsteps.
