DHAKA, April 2, 2020 (BSS) – Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed deep shock at the death of AL lawmaker and former land minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif.
In a condolence message, she said Shamsur Rahman Sherif was a veteran politician and the nation has lost an experienced parliamentarian at his death, which is an irreparable loss to the country’s politics.
The Speaker prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
In separate messages, Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury also condoled the death of the former land minister.
Shamsur Rahman Sherif, AL MP from Pabna-4 constituency, breathed his last this morning while undergoing treatment at a city hospital at the age of 80.
