Armanitola go goal feast in School Hockey
DHAKA, March 6, 2020 (BSS)- Armanitola Government High School crushed
Haridaspur Royel School by 14-1 goals in a final round match of the
Bangabandhu First Security Islami Bank National School Hockey competition
held today (Friday) at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
In the day’s match, Sajib Khan scored five goals in the 29th, 38th, 48th,
53rd and 55th minutes while Siyam Ahmed Rony netted four goals in the 28th,
32nd 42nd and 46th minutes as Tanzil Rahman, Mohammad Mahfuz, Akram Mondal,
Mahi Hossain and Ali Hossain Tanveer netted one goal each for Armanitola in
the 12th, 27th, 29th, 44th and 58th minutes respectively.
Amiul Alim scored the consolation goal for the losers in the 54th minute.
In the day’s second match, Cumilla High School of Cumilla defeated
Riverview Collectorate School of Rajshahi by 4-2 goals also held at the same
venue.
In the proceeding, Imtiaz Hossain Arif scored a brace in the 23rd and 59th
minutes while Nazmul Hasan Piyash and Mohammad Shamim netted one goal each
for Cumilla in the 42nd and 47th minutes respectively.
On the other hand, Nuirit Hasan and Mehedi Hasan Ovi netted one goal each
for Riverview in the 49th and 59th minute respectively.
Champions and runners-up teams from nine venues of the preliminary round
are taking part in the final round competition, organised by Bangladesh
Hockey Federation.
