SIRAJGANJ, Feb 16, 2020 (BSS) – Three people were killed and 20 others injured in a road accident on Bangabandhu Bridge West Link road in Talukder Bazar area under Kamarkhanda upazila of the district this noon.
One of the deceased was identified as Shapla Khatun, 27, hailed from
Gaibandha district but the rest two others could not be known immediately.
Sirajganj Fire Service and Civil Defence sources said the accident occurred
when a passengers bus skidded off the road and fell into a roadside ditch
after crashing a motorcycle around 12:30 pm in the area as its driver lost
control over the steering.
Shapla, co-rider of a motorcycle, and two other passengers of the bus dead
on the spot and the injured were taken to Bangamata sheikh Fazilatunnesa
Mujib General Hospital in Sirajganj.
Assistant Police Superintendent of Kamarkhanda Circle Shohidul Islam
confirmed the incident.
