KHULNA, Feb 16, 2020 (BSS) – Bangabandhu National School Cricket Competition-2020 began yesterday at Khulna Zila Stadium, marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Khulna District Sports Association (KDSA) is organising the cricket
competition under the management of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain inaugurated the tournament as
the chief guest. Vice-President of KDSA Mustafizur Rahman Bablu was also
present at the event.
Assistant Vice-President of Prime Bank Limited in Khulna Md Saidur Rahman,
freedom fighter Md Alamgir Kabir and General Secretary of KDSA Kazi Shamim
Ahsan attended the inaugural ceremony as special guest.
A total of 12 school teams in three categories – Ka, Kha and Ga- under
Khulna district are participating in the contest.
