RANGPUR, Feb 16, 2020 (BSS) – The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) arrested
an alleged drug trader with contraband narcotics substance from Alamnagar
area in the metropolis on Saturday night.
“A special operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialised Company
(CPSC) of RAB-13 conducted a raid and arrested the drug trader with 29 grams
of heroin, one mobile phone set, one SIM card and one memory card,” a press
release said today.
The arrested person is Md Apel, 30, son of late Ziabul Haque Swapan of
Alamnagar College Road area under Kotwali police station of Rangpur
Metropolitan Police (RpMP).
During primary interrogation, arrested Apel admitted his involvement with
trading drugs and narcotics substances in different areas of Rangpur city for
a long time.
The elite force handed over him to Kotwali police station of RpMP after
filing a case.
