CHATTOGRAM, Feb 13, 2020 (BSS) – Detective Branch (DB) of Chattogram
Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested five dacoits from city’s Enam Colony of
Haji Chandmia Sawdagor road under Panchliash thana early today.
Police also recovered one light gun, cartridges and six Sharp weapons and
instruments of cutting grill from their possessions.
The arrestees were identified as Morshed, 35, Abdul Hakim, 25, Farhad Mia,
26, Moktadir Alam, 27 and Year Alam, 25.
Based on secrete information that a team of dacoits was taking preparation
to commit robbery. A team of DB police arrested them after raiding Enam
Colony early today, said senior Assistant Commissioner of DB Jahedul Islam.
Sensing the presence of law enforcers, other dacoits fled from the scene.
A case filed with Panchlish thana in this connection.
