DHAKA, Aug 9, 2017 (BSS) – Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq today said those who orchestrated the killing of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, from behind the scene will also be brought to justice.
“We have managed to hold trial of direct killers of Bangabandhu but the orchestrators are still at large. They will be brought to justice as well. If necessary we will hold posthumous trial,” Mozammel said.
The minister said these while addressing a discussion marking National Mourning Day organized by Jagannath University Teachers’ Association.
“They not only killed Bangabandhu, but also killed most of his family members and four national leaders. By killing the Father of the Nation, they thought they managed to kill his ideology also. But his ideology is stronger than ever now,” the minister added.
Presided over by association’s president Dr Deboprio Paul, the discussion was also addressed by State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayon Chandra Chanda, Jagannath University Vice Chancellor Dr Mizanur Rahman and treasurer Md Selim Bhuiyan, among others.
