DHAKA, Jan 18, 2020 (BSS) – Recalling Awami League lawmaker Abdul
Mannan’s contribution for the party, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud
today said the death of Mannan is an irreparable loss to the country and
politics as well.
The minister said this while talking to journalists at BIRDEM Hospital
in the city.
Dr Hasan went to the hospital mortuary to have a last glimpse of Mannan.
He expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Abdul Mannan.
Dr Hasan, also Joint General Secretary of AL, prayed for eternal peace
of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Abdul Mannan, who was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) from Bogura –
1 constituency, died at a hospital in the city this morning after suffering
from a cardiac arrest.
Mannan served as organizing secretary, publicity secretary of Awami
League and president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
