ARREST-DRUG PEDDLER-FARIDPUR
Two arrested with 598 Yaba tablets in Faridpur
FARIDPUR, June 6, 2018 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in
separate drives arrested two persons with 598 pieces of contraband Yaba
tablets from Faridpur on Wednesday.
The arrestee were identified as Toufikur Rahaman Munna, 35, hailing from
Bhabanipur village of Rajbari Sadar upazila and Rasel Mondol, 27, of Betua
Bari Sharak of Faridpur town.
Roichuddin, additional SP and also the commander of Rab -8 confirmed the
incident. He said Toufiq was handed over to Kotwali police station in Rajbari
while Rasel was sentenced to 2 years in jail by a mobile court led by
executive magistrate Parvez Mollick.
