GAIBANDHA, Dec 14, 2019 (BSS) – A two-day folk festival titled ‘Bijoyer 48
Loko-Bhaoyaia Utshab-2019’ ended on Friday at the Central Shaheed Minar
premises of Gaibandha Poura Park amid much festivity.
Amra Loko-Sangeet Gai Shilpi Gosthi, Gaibandha organised the festival with
its convener SM Amzad Hossain Dipti in the chair.
Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary, MP, addressed the function as the chief
guest while Civil surgeon Dr ABM Abu Hanif, General Secretary of Zila
Shilpakala Academy Promotosh Saha and Poet Saroz Dev also spoke as special
guests.
Folk singers Bhupatia Bhusan Barma, Shafiqul Islam, and Anik Kumar of
Kurigram district rendered songs to entertain the audience in the two-day
festival.
A large number of music lovers gathered at the venue and enjoyed the folk
music.
Barrister Shameem Haider thanked the organiser for arranging such a
festival.
Earlier, whip of the Jatiya Sangshad Mahabub Ara Begum Gini inaugurated
the festival on Thursday evening.
