DHAKA, Dec 9, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Awami League (AL) today nominated Moslem Uddin Ahmed, the Chattogram south district unit president, to contest the Chattogram-8 by-elections slated for January 13.

The nomination was finalized at a meeting of the AL Parliamentary Board and Local Government Election Nomination Board held at Ganabhaban, the official residence of the prime minister, tonight.

The meeting also nominated Nur Hossain as the AL chairman candidate in Haimchar upazila parishad polls in Chandpur and Enamul Haque T Rana as the mayoral candidate in Dupchachia Pourasabha election in Bogura, the release said.
