RMP official worries over ICT misuse by students

RAJSHAHI, Aug 2, 2017 (BSS)-The students from high schools to all other higher seats of learning should remain alert about the misuse of information and communication technology (ICT) for their betterment, said an official of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP).

He opined that centering the misuse of ICT various forms of crimes are being witnessed in society creating grave concern. So, all students, parents and teachers concerned should come forward and work together.

Deputy Commissioner (West) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Amir Jafar came up with the observation while addressing a student orientation and Parents Day- 2017 of Rajshahi Women Polytechnic Institute (RWPI) here yesterday as chief guest.

RWPI organized the ceremony on its premises to mark the launching of academic classes of the newly admitted first year students.

With RWPI Principal Omor Faruque in the chair, officer-in-charge of Shuhmukhdum Police Station Zillur Rahman, inspector of Divisional Victim Support Centre Ashrafi Khanom and RWPI teachers Selim Ahmed, Shahid Mostofa Rabbani, Durga Charan Roy, Nurul Afsar Bhuiyan and Jahanara Begum Laily also spoke on the occasion.

Amir Jafar told the meeting that the present government has been working relentlessly for preventing the ICT misuses. He urged all quarters to supplement the government endeavor.
