JAMALPUR, Nov 26, 2019 (BSS)- A day-long training on “Linseed Cultivation
was held at Jamalpur Regional Agriculture Research Station (RARS) today.
Director, Oilseed Research Center, Bangladesh Agriculture Research
Institute, Dr Dil Afrosa Khanom formally inaugurated the training as chief
guest.
A total of 60 farmers of Jamalpur Sadar and Islampur Upazila of the district
took part in the training held under the programme ‘Research and Development
of Minor oil Crops” (Soyabean, sunflower and linseed)’, held at RARS
conference room.
Chief Scientific Officer, RASR, Jamalpur, Dr Md Tariqul Islam presided over
the inaugural function.
Programme Director, Research and Development of Minor oil crops (Soyabean,
sunflower and linseed) Dr Md Mubarak Ali and Principal Scientific Officer,
RARS, Dr Mohammad Manjurul Kadir imparted training highlighting linseed
cultivation and its consumption to the farmers.
Later, Dr Dil Afrosa Khanom disbursed linseed among the participants free of
cost.
