DHAKA, Nov 25, 2019 (BSS) – Ameer of the banned Islamic militant outfit
Jamaatul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB) Abu Raihan alias Mahmud Alais A Hadi
along with two other members has been arrested from the city’s Bhatara area.
Special Action Group of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime
(CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested the JMB men by
conducting a special drive on Sunday night in the city’s Syed Nagar area
under the Bhatara police station, CTTC unit Chief Monirul Islam said at a
briefing at the DMP media centre in the city today.
Two other arrestees are JMB members Md Habibur Rahman alias Chan Mia and
Rajibur Rahman alias Rajib alias Sagar.
Police recovered 150 detonators, jihadi books, one knife and 20 pieces of
explosives from their possession, Manirul said.
