Pakistan’s suicide blast

ISLAMABAD, June 3, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) -Several people were injured after a suicide bomber attacked a check post of paramilitary troops Rangers in the suburbs of Karachi in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province on Saturday, officials said.

Spokesperson of the Rangers said that the militant opened fire at the security personnel deployed at the check post, when they stopped him for body frisking.

The spokesperson added that the militant was trying to enter Sindh from neighboring Balochistan province when he was stopped by the Rangers.

He said that the suicide jacket of the attacker was blown up in retaliatory firing by the rangers.

The injured security personnel were shifted to a nearby hospital.

No group or person has claimed the attack yet.

Sindh police chief took notice of the attack and marked an immediate inquiry into the incident. Police, Rangers and intelligence agencies kicked off a search operation in the area following the explosion.
