Bangla Academy to launch new books on Bangabandhu

2028

DHAKA, Aug 1, 2017 (BSS) – Bangla Academy has planned to launch several books on the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman analysing his life and works at different periods.

Director General of the state-run publisher and linguistic research organisation Shamsuzzaman Khan said the books would be released in phases early next year with the first one being a documentation of the entire life and works of Bangabandhu.

The second book, he said, would be the English version of the earlier published “Karagarer Rojnamcha (Diary in Jail) authored by Bangabandhu himself.

Khan’s comments came when the country is observing the month-long mourning, but he said the academy was working to publish the books coinciding with Bangabandhu’s birth centenary next year.

The books planned to be launched included Bangbandhu’r Birgatha by Syed Shamsul Haque, “Sat-e-Marcher Bhashon- Bohumatric Bishletion” edited by Shamsuzzaman Khan, “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman: Jibon O Kormo” edited by Monaem Sarkar and “Khoka Theke Sheikh Mujib” by Mahbub Talukder,” Bangabandhur Beergantha”.
