SANGSAD BHABAN, Nov 11, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today informed the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) that the total number of solar power users across the country stands at 60,38,303.
“Electricity demand of the many clients has been met by supplying the energy produced by 508 solar stations through net metering system across the country and four solar parks to the national power grid,” he said replying to a tabled question made by treasury bench lawmaker M Abdul Latif in the House.
The state minister said the government implemented the Net-Metering Guideline in August 2018 to encourage the people for using rooftop solar power.
