Jubo League celebrates founding anniversary in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Nov 11, 2019 (BSS) – The district and city units of Bangladesh
Awami Jubo League (AJL) today celebrated its 47th founding anniversary with a
renewed pledge for building a developed Sonar Bangladesh as dreamt by
Bangabandhu.

The district and city units of AJL chalked out elaborate day-long
programmes marking the day.

The programmes included hoisting of the organisational and national flags,
placing of wreaths on mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Square and portrait of AJL founder Sheikh
Fazlul Haque Moni.

After cake-cutting functions, the AJL leaders released pigeons and
balloons with festoons before bringing out of colorful ‘Ananda’ rallies on
the city streets with participation of tens of hundreds of leaders and
activists of the organisation.

The city AJL arranged a pre-rally discussion on Zila School ground with its
President Sirajum Munir Basher in the chair.

Moderated by General Secretary of city AJL Murad Hossain, President of city
Awami League (AL) Shafiur Rahman Shafi and its General Secretary addressed
the discussion as the chief and special guests respectively.

Similarly, the district unit of AJL arranged a discussion presided over by
its Joint Convener Kamruzzaman Shahin and moderated by another Joint Convener
Mamunur Rashid.

Leaders of district and city units of AL and AJL leaders, among others,
addressed.

The chief guest asked leaders of AL and its associate bodies, including
AJL, for reaching information about massive developments implemented during
the last eleven years in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina.

The other speakers laid emphasis on further strengthening the hands of
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to speed up the process of building a ‘Sonar
Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
by serving the common people selflessly.
