Hasan for instilling patriotism, human values into students

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 26, 2019 (BSS)-As students are future leaders of the country, the teachers and guardians should embark on instilling the sense of patriotism and human values into the mindset of students to make them worthy for an enlightened society.

This was stated by Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today at a prize giving ceremony of annual sports competition and cultural function at Rangunia Model Multilateral Pilot High School in the district.

The minister said human beings are becoming self-centric and dependent on machines leading to social degradation.

To save the society, moral values and patriotism should be instilled into the mindset of the students who will be the country’s future leaders, he added.

Dr Hasan urged the students to have dreams and to be determined to materialize their dreams.

Mentioning student life is the ideal period to build life, he called upon the students not to be depressed at their failures rather they should take lessons from their failures to do better in future.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Masudur Rahman addressed the function with the school’s governing body chairman Principal Sumongal Mutsuddi in the chair.

School’s headmaster M Mizanur Rahman delivered the welcome address in the function which was moderated by assistant headmaster Abu Sayem.

Later, the minister distributed prizes among the winners and inaugurated a midday meal programme at the school.
