DHAKA, Oct 21, 2019 (BSS) – Nine newly appointed additional judges of High
Court today took oath at Supreme Court Judges’ Lounge, a day after their
appointment.
Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain administered the oath at a ceremony,
conducted by High Court Division Registrar Md Golam Rabbani.
Judges of both the divisions of the Supreme Court were present during the
occasion.
Earlier on October 20, President Md Abdul Hamid made the appointments for
two years from the date of their oath, in line with Article 98 of the
Constitution.
The nine newly appointed additional judges are– District and Sessions
Judges Muhammad Mahbub-ul-Islam, Shahed Nuruddin and Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman,
Supreme Court Registrar General Dr Md Zakir Hossain, Supreme Court Advocates
Md Mahmud Hasan Talukder and Kazi Ebadat Hossain, Deputy Attorney Generals KM
Zahid Sarwar, AKM Zahirul Haque and Kazi Zinat Hoque.
