DHAKA, Oct 19, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today condoled the
death of senior lawyer of Supreme Court Fazlur Rahman Khan.
In a condolence message, the head of the state expressed deep shock and
sorrow at the death of Advocate Fazlur, who breathed his last at BIRDEM
hospital here this morning at the age of 74.
He recalled his contribution to the country’s law profession with due
respect, saying, “He (Fazlur Rahman Khan) had been working with sincerity and
honesty for long to establish the justice and good governance.”
“The country has lost a noted lawyer in his death”, he added.
President Hamid prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and
conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Fazlur Rahman was very close to the family of President Abdul Hamid.
