CHATTOGRAM, Oct 15, 2019 (BSS) – A mobile court of the district
administration today fined Taka 40,000 for selling onions in high price.
The mobile court, led by Executive Magistrates Towhidul Islam and Shirin
Akhter, conducted a raid in Khatunganj onion market this afternoon and fined
Azim Bhandar, a whole sale trader of the market, Taka 20,000 for selling
onions in high price.
Besides, the mobile court also fined Shah Amanat traders, another whole
sale shop, Taka 20,000 for the same reasons and realized the fine money
instantly.
Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Mohammad Ilias Hossain at a meeting with
district law and order committee held yesterday cautioned the onion traders
not to sell onions with high prices.
