DHAKA, Sept 23, 2019 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said those who will commit crimes will face stern action and exemplary punishment for their misdeeds.
“I would not bother whether it is small or big fries . . . action will be taken if anyone commits crimes,” he told journalists at his office at Bangladesh Secretariat here.
Referring to the arrest of some Awami League lawmakers, he said none will be spared if he or she commits crimes.
The government launched drives against illegal business and tender manipulation, he said, adding that intelligence agencies have been working on it and collecting information about illegal business and tender manipulations.
Replying to a query, he said immigration police are always alert and they have the list of criminals. So, the criminals will not be able to flee from the country through airports or land ports.
