DU-EKATTAR-TRUST-FUND (with picture)
DU Ekattar Hall Trust Fund established
DHAKA, Sept 8, 2019 (BSS) – A new trust fund of 80 lakh Taka named ‘Bijoy
Ekattar Hall Trust Fund’ has been established today at Bijoy Ekattar Hall of
Dhaka University (DU).
Provost of the hall Professor Dr AJM Shafiul Alam Buiyan handed over a
cheque for Taka 80 lakh to DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin at a function
held at the Vice-Chancellor’s (VC’s) office.
This amount has been collected from various internal sources of the hall,
said a DU press release.
DU VC Prof Akhtaruzzaman, DU Arts Faculty Dean Prof Dr Abu Md Delwar
Hosain, Biological Sciences Faculty Dean Prof Dr Md Imdadul Hoque, Acting
Registrar Md Enamuzzaman, house tutors of the hall and hall union leaders
were present on the occasion.
Out of the income of this trust fund, Provost Gold Medal, Provost Award
and scholarships will be given to meritorious students of the dormitory every
year.
Thanking the provost for taking initiative to establish the fund, DU VC
Akhtaruzzaman hoped that the students of the hall would be highly benefited
and encouraged by this trust fund.
