DHAKA, Aug 20, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today
predicted that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at several places of
the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary
gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Barishal and Khulna
divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh,
Sylhet, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at places
over the country,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning here.
Day and night temperature may slightly rise over the country, the
bulletin said. The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 35 degree
Celsius in Jashore district while minimum temperature was 18 degree Celsius
in Sitakunda.
The sun sets at 6.28 pm today and rises at 5.36 am tomorrow in the
capital.
