DHAKA, August 14, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today
predicted light to moderate rain at many places across the country in the
next 24 hours commencing at 9am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal,
Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur,
Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at
places over the country” said a Met office bulletin issued here today.
“Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay”,
it added.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the
country.
The highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.3 degree Celsius in
Sylhet while today’s minimum temperature was 24.5 degree Celsius in Rangamati
of Chattogram division.
The sun sets at 6:33 pm today and rises at 5:34 am tomorrow in the
capital.
